Blume on the Ave is bringing new energy to Mattapan with three newly constructed buildings featuring 3,000 square feet of prime commercial space across three distinct sites. As part of our commitment to fostering local entrepreneurship, DVM Housing Partners (DVM) is offering two of these commercial spaces for sale to local business owners ready to make an impact!
On April 2, 2025, more than 100 Mattapan community members joined DVM Housing Partners and KPP Consulting in-person and online to watch four local entrepreneurs pitch their small business concepts for the Blume on the Ave project.
These four businesses were the top scorers of our competitive RFP process, which began in February 2025. During this time, we reviewed more than 20 proposals from local entrepreneurs with our Community Advisory Committee; coached finalists on their pitch presentations, and collected community feedback on the finalists.
We look forward to formally announcing the selected entrepreneurs in the coming months.

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) will guide the selection of qualified small businesses for the commercial spaces. The committee will focus on creating an inclusive, equitable selection process and assist with outreach to maximize community engagement.
